Biography:
The Clarinetist Bernhard Rothlisberger has been one of the most versatile musicians on the Swiss classical music scene for years. After almost twenty years in the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra, he became principal clarinetist and bass clarinetist with the Bern Symphony Orchestra in 2010. He also teaches at the music academies in Zurich and Bern and gives master classes throughout Europe. As a soloist he has performed with internationally renowned conductors such as Jonathan Nott, Reinhard Goebel, Vasily Petrenko, John Neschling, Marc Piollet and Mario Venzago. His CD recordings for Gallo, pan classics, claves and musiques suisses have repeatedly received top marks from the specialist press. Bernhard Röthlisberger is the artistic director of the ensemble »Les Solistes de Berne« and the international master classes in Rheinau.
