Biography:
Christian Ofenbauer, born in Austria in 1961; composer and music theorist; Studied at the Vienna Music Academy (organ with Herbert Tachezi, composition with Alfred Uhl and composition with Friedrich Cerha); 1989-2001 various teaching positions and guest professorships in Germany and Austria; Concerts and radio recordings in Germany and abroad as organist, conductor and composer; since 2001 professor for music theory and composition at the University Mozarteum Salzburg (focus: interpretation studies, theory of music of the 20th century and the present); since 2004 various master classes (composition and music theory) in Europe and Asia; 2016 doctorate in musicology at the Paris Lodron University in Salzburg; since 1990 also active as a visual artist (objects); Japanese Archer (5th Dan).
