Biography:
Christoph Bantzer, born in Marburg ad Lahn in 1936, completed his training as an actor at the Max Reinhard School in Berlin; his teachers were Hilde Körber, Günther Hadank and Grete Mosheim. First engagements took him to Wuppertal, Hamburg and to the Schiller Theater in Berlin. From 1972 to 78 he was a member of the ensemble at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg. In 1985 Jürgen Flimm engaged him to the Thalia Theater in Hamburg. In addition to his theater engagements, Christoph Bantzer has acted in numerous films and television productions.
