composer and conductor
Biography:
»Despite the classic avant-garde tonal language, Hefti is concerned with expressiveness, with an expression that appeals directly to the listener. He loves strong contrasts and, on occasion, does not scorn the intense cantilena. His music is capable of increasing concentration and can develop furious drive.«
Süddeutsche Zeitung
