Biography:
Giacinto Scelsi Conte d'Ayala Valva was born in La Spezia in 1905 into a wealthy noble family. Although he maintained close contact with the group of composers ›Nuova Consonanza‹, he lived a very withdrawn life. In 1988 he died in Rome. His work is particularly well received and appreciated in German-speaking countries.
