Biography:
Hugo Noth, born 1943 in Friborg (Switzerland), studied from 1964 in Trossingen with Fritz Dobler, later further studies in the subjects composition, instrumentation and music theory with Helmut Degen and Bernhard Rövenstrunck. From 1972 to 2007 he was head of the accordion class at the State University of Music in Trossingen. Since 2008 he has been teaching accordion at the University of Music and Theater in Munich. Extensive concert tours and course activities take him through Europe, America, Canada, Russia and South America. Hugo Noth has inspired and advised a large number of composers on solo and chamber music works for accordion and has played over 240 world premieres. He is a member of the Ensemble Itinéraire in Paris.
