Biography:
jessica rona, born in Miami (USA), studied viola with Margaret Pardee (Juilliard School of Music, New York), Thomas Riebl (University Mozarteum Salzburg) and Hatto Beyerle (Musikhochschule Hannover). She then completed an additional course in »Performance Practice New Music« under the direction of Johannes Schöllhorn.
She has participated in numerous international music festivals, e.g. the Ensemble Modern Academy, the Lucerne Festival Academy under the direction of Pierre Boulez and the World New Music Festival 2006 in Stuttgart. Jessica Rona has worked with important contemporary composers.
She is regularly involved in world premieres and has played as a guest with various ensembles. Her musical work has received numerous awards at international competitions. She appears both as a soloist and as a chamber musician at major venues in Europe and the United States.
