Biography:

Klaus Burger studied tuba at the Music Academy in Munich with Manfred Hoppert and was a guest student at the Nuremberg Conservatory with Hans-Joachim Sordel. The freelance musician works as a tubist with orchestras and ensembles of international renown and is in demand as a soloist at major European music festivals. His work focuses on contemporary music. He has premiered numerous works dedicated to him in recent years. He also writes film, radio play and theater music and composes for concerts, intermedial and improvisation projects. Klaus Burger was a multiple scholarship holder in the EXPERIMENTALSTUDIO of the SWR.
