In 2007, Kent Nagano conducted the premiere of his new musical theater piece at the Munich Opera Festival.
The main focus of his pianistic repertoire is the interpretation of his own compositions and the music of the 20th and 21st centuries.

His work has received several awards: Günther Bialas composition prize, grant from the city of Munich, Bavarian State Prize for Music, Rodion Shchedrin Chamber Music Prize, grant from the Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris.

The emotionally charged music, which does not conform to any dogma, is shaped by the rhythm and harmony of its Greek origins and moves in a field of tension between ancient Greek literature, philosophy and modern natural sciences.
