Biography:

The soprano Mojca Erdman is one of the most versatile artists on the international music scene and is celebrated by critics and audiences alike. She is known for her wide-ranging repertoire, with which she can be heard in all the major opera houses, festivals and concert halls around the world. Mojca Erdmann is in great demand for her interpretations of contemporary music theater works: she sang the world premiere of Tōru Takemitsu My way of life; the title role in Wolfgang Rihm's specially written for her Proserpina as well as in his opera Dionysos. She took over the world premiere of Rodion Shchedrins Cleopatra and the snake at the Salzburg Whitsun Festival and sang in Brett Deans From Melodious Lay, etc. with the Danish Radio Symphony Orchestra and with the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, with whom she also performs with David Philip Heftis the snow Queen premiered in 2018. In Hamburg she interpreted calm sea by Toshio Hosokawa, and she was highly acclaimed for her role as »The Soul« in Jörg Widmann's monumental opera Babel.
