Biography:

The  Orchester Philharmonique du Luxembourg (OPL), as the orchestra of the Grand Duchy, embodies a very lively part of its country's cultural tradition. The orchestra, which took over state sponsorship in 1933, has been present throughout Europe since its brilliant beginnings in 1996 with Radio Luxembourg (RTL). In addition to the large romantic and classical repertoire, the OPL also deals intensively with music of the 20th and 21st centuries, for example with works by Iannis Xenakis (complete recording of the orchestral works), Ivo Malec, Hugues Dufourt, Toshio Hosokawa, Klaus Huber, Bernd Alois Zimmermann, Helmut Lachenmann, Georges Lentz, Philippe Gaubert, Gabriel Pierné, Arthur Honegger and many more. a.
