Biography:
Pierre Alain Monot has expanded his repertoire in such a way that the diversity of the literature of the 20th century and the new decade is well documented. Supported by David Zinman, Janos Fürst and Jost Meier, he deepened his work with the NEC, which he has headed since 1995.
In addition to contemporary music, his programs clearly show his passion for French music and the post-Romantic. Numerous composers appreciate his commitment to the (first) performances of their works.
Pierre-Alain Monot has made guest appearances with orchestras such as: Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, Sinfonie Orchester Biel, Orchester suisse des Jeunesses musicales, Sinfonietta Lausanne, Philharmonie de Rousse, Ensemble TaG, Sonemus Sarajevo, Ensemble Helix and opera nova Zurich. He regularly works on projects with the Musikkollegium Winterthur orchestra.
