Swiss clarinettist and composer Matthias Mueller juxtaposes Mozart's Clarinet Concerto with his own works on this enjoyable CD. With the well-prepared Zurich Chamber Orchestra, he plays Mozart in an extremely emotional way and, with his octet, directs the audience to the “Piccolo Concerto Grosso” completed in 2017. Mozart's spirit hovers over everything, but as soon as it is recognized, it vanishes immediately. Great!
The CD launch will take place on June 9th in Zurich.
