Biography:
Rachel Cunz received her musical training from Rudolf Bamert in Zurich and from Aida Stucki-Piraccini at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Winterthur. Her studies were supplemented by participation in master classes with Joseph Gingold and Gérard Poulet, Boris Belkin and Rainer Kussmaul. Rahel Cunz received first prize in various competitions, e.g. at the Swiss Youth Music Competition and the Brahms Competition. She received sponsorship awards from the Migros Cooperative Association and the cultural foundations of the city and canton of St. Gallen.
Since 1994, Rahel Cunz has been employed part-time as concertmaster at the Musikkollegium Winterthur orchestra. In addition to this task, she has a wide range of concert activities, both as a soloist with various orchestras at home and abroad and as a chamber musician in a wide variety of formations, e.g. B. in Collegium Novum Zurich. She made radio recordings and was a guest at various festivals.
