Biography:
Rudolph Piehlmayer studied piano, clarinet and conducting in Munich. He had his first engagement at the Theater Regensburg as a solo répétiteur, later he was first conductor and deputy music director there. From 1999 to 2000 he was first conductor at the Theater St. Gallen. Guest conductors have taken him a.o. to the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Komische Oper Berlin and to the Salzburg Culture Days. From 1 to 2002 he was General Manager of the City of Augsburg. Since 09/2007 he has been Principal Guest Conductor at the Leipzig Opera.
