Biography:
Seyed Sina Sadeghpour, born in Tehran (Iran) in 1977, began his musical education at the Tehran Conservatory in the clarinet class with Mr. Afshar. He then studied music at Azad University and attended courses with Alireza Mashayekhi and Farhad Fakhraldini. During his studies he began to play in the Tehran Symphony Orchestra.
In 2000 he left Iran for further education at Dr. Hoch's Conservatory in Frankfurt am Main. He completed his instrumental studies at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts (HfMDK) with Sven van der Kuip. He then decided to focus on composition and completed his master's degree with Prof. Gerhard Müller-Hornbach.
S. Sina Sadeghpour creates a dialogue between western and eastern musical tradition in his works and received the prize of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) for this. His catalog of works also includes compositions for music theater and film.
