Simone Santi Gubini (*1980, Rome) is particularly interested in music as an intense physical experience, in music that demands fulfillment. Through the use of highly textured developments, extreme ambiguity and overexposed tones, the composer shapes a raw and tangible sound. He creates maximum contrasts on every musical parameter and an explosion of ever-changing relationships to form new ones, thus forcing the established perceptions to finally collapse. The brutality of the volume and the unrelenting intensity of the music require the performer to have great physical strength, a state of absolute control, while at the same time experiencing the loss of it.
