Biography:

The conductor Tito Ceccherini, born in Milan in 1973, studied at the »Giuseppe Verdi« Conservatory in Milan with Prof. Giovanni Carmassi (piano) and Vittorio Parisi (conducting). Further studies took him to Germany, Russia and Austria.

Tito Ceccherini is a committed interpreter of contemporary music. He works intensively with composers such as Salvatore Sciarrino, Alessandro Solbiati and Stefano Gervasoni. The numerous world premieres he has directed include the posthumous performance of Niccolò Castiglioni's Sette and the opera Da gelo a gelo by Salvatore Sciarrino at the Schwetzingen Festival, the Opéra National de Paris and the Grand Théâtre de Genève.

He conducts important orchestras such as the SWR Sinfonieorchester Stuttgart, Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai (Turin) and famous ensembles such as Klangforum Wien, Contrechamps, OENM and the Ensemble Divertimento. His CD recordings were received with great enthusiasm by the public and the press and received awards such as the »Choc« from the specialist magazine Le Monde de la Musique and the »Diapason d'Or«.
