Biography:
Valentina Sandu-Dediu, born in Bucharest/Romania in 1966, studied at the »George Enescu« music lyceum in Bucharest until 1985; piano diploma.
1986–1990 studied musicology and piano at the Bucharest University of Music; Diploma in Musicology. Since 1993 professor of music history, musical stylistics and musicology at the Bucharest University of Music. Scholarship holder of the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin, 2000.
Sponsorship award from the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation for a project on Romanian music between 1944 and 2000.
